GLASS OF MILK
One day, a poor boy who was selling goods from door to door to pay his way through school, found he had only one thin dime left, and he was hungry.
He decided he would ask for a meal at the next house. However, he lost his nerve when a lovely young woman opened the door.
Instead of a meal he asked for a drink of water! . She thought he looked hungry so brought him a large glass of milk. He drank it so slowly, and then asked, How much do I owe you?"
You don't owe me anything," she replied. "Mother has taught us never to accept pay for a kindness."
He said ... "Then I thank you from my heart."
As Howard Kelly left that house, he not only felt stronger physically, but his faith in God and man was strong also. He had been ready to give up and quit.
Many years later that same young woman became critically ill. The local doctors were baffled. They finally sent her to the big city, where they called in specialists to study her rare disease.
Dr. Howard Kelly was called in for the consultation. When he heard the name of the town she came from, a strange light filled his eyes.
Immediately he rose and went down the hall of the hospital to her room.
Dressed in his doctor's gown he went in to see her. He recognized her at once.
He went back to the consultation room determined to do his best to save her life. From that day he gave special attention to her case.
After a long struggle, the battle was won.
Dr. Kelly requested the business office to pass the final bill to him for approval. He looked at it, then wrote something on the edge, and the bill was sent to her room. She feared to open it, for she was sure it would take the rest of her life to pay for it all. Finally she looked, and something caught her attention on the side of the bill. She read these words ...
"Paid in full with one glass of milk"
(Signed) Dr. Howard Kelly.
Tears of joy flooded her eyes as her happy heart prayed: "Thank You,
God, that Your love has spread broad through human hearts and hands."
There's a saying which goes something like this: Bread cast on the water comes back to you. The good deed you do today may benefit you or someone you love at the least expected time’s,€€ If you never see the deed again at least you will have made the world a better place - And, after all, isn't that what life is all about?
Now you have two choices.
1. You can send this page on and spread a positive message.
2. Or ignore it and pretend it never touched your heart.
The hardest thing to learn in life is which bridge to cross and which -- To burn.

JUST 1 QUESTION
Its not a quiz. JUST 1 QUESTION.
You are driving along in your car on a wild, stormy night, when you pass by a bus stop, and you see three people waiting for the bus:
1. An old lady who looks as if she is about to die.
2. An old friend who once saved your life.
3. The perfect partner you have been dreaming about.
Which one would you choose to offer a ride to, knowing that there could only be one passenger in your car?
Think before you continue reading...

This is a moral/ethical dilemma that was once actually used as part of a job application.
You could pick up the old lady, because she is going to die, and thus you should save her first;
Or you could take the old friend who once saved your life, and this would be the perfect chance to pay back. However, you may never be able to find your perfect mate again.
NOW READ THIS: The candidate who was hired (out of 200 applicants) had no trouble coming up with his answer.
"I would give the car keys to my old friend and let to take the lady to the hospital. I would stay behind and wait for the bus with the partner of my dreams."
Sometimes, we gain more if we are able to give up our stubborn thought limitations.
Never forget to "Think Outside of the Box."

The Importance of Open Communication
Open communication is vital in every relationship. Having an open communication between parents and children is one of the best thing in life. Sharing feelings, thoughts and ideas binds them more, strengthens their love and widens understanding though they are apart. It is not too late yet if you are not used to it, you could start practicing good communication with your loved ones today. And, if you are consistent to it definitely everything will follow.
Parents plans and do everything that is best for their children. So, even if they do not ask their children to return the favor for all their cares, their children usually thinks what is best for their parents especially by the time that they are no longer staying with their parents and cannot immediately respond to their parents needs as much as they love to. Elderly care topics like finding the right nursing home or in-home health care and other relevant topics for elderly needs could easily be tackled to parents though they are still on their productive and active age if there is an open communication between parents and children.
Having a great relationship and good communication with your parents with the assurance of your care though you will be miles apart in the future and opening the elderly care topics with them as early as possible will open their minds and let them understand better of their future needs. They could even help you choose of the right facilities for their future needs like nursing homes that offers great nursing home services.
To find a nursing home or a great facility that they could feel at home with while all their needs are being catered is a great achievement not just to children but to the seniors as well. If your parents sense that you care and love them and your plans is for their best, for them to live a healthy, happy and longer lives, these will act as their motivators to be on state that you want them to be and, will love and understand you more. Open communication between children and parents especially when parents are on their senior years is much more needed than any other stages in life, hope everyone will understand its importance.

Power of our Thoughts.
Thoughts carry tremendous creative power.
Consciously or not, before every spoken word,
there is a thought.
In the same way, there is a thought proceeding every action.
Since thoughts shape our words and behaviors, they inevitably
shape our environment, relationships and destiny.
As part of our unique human power, our higher reasoning process
separates us from other species.
With our birth gifts of higher thoughts, inventions are made and
modern civilization becomes a reality.
Unfortunately, most of us do not utilize the power of thoughts effectively.
Instead of managing our thoughts positively and using them to create a
better reality, we have become powerless with our thoughts.
For example, how many of us catch ourselves daydreaming often and
allow our mind to wonder from places to places without much control?
On the other hand, how many of us try to control our lives ineffectively by
allowing repetitively negative thoughts to dominate our mind
such as worrying obsessively.
Without learning to master the power of our thoughts, no wonder
we feel anxious and depressed most of the time!
The power of our thoughts truly deserves our better attention
as the quality of our thoughts determines the quality of our life.
Negative thoughts create negative state of mind; therefore,
they produce negative actions following by negative results.
This sounds bad, doesn’t it? The good news is that in the same way,
high quality thoughts create high quality state of mind; therefore,
they produce positive actions and wonderful and positive results.
Isn’t this a great incentive for us to pay attention and learn to
monitor our thoughts carefully?
A good exercise is to start paying attention to the quality of our thoughts for a day.
Your job is to reject any negative or limited thoughts as soon as they surface.
Any “I can’t” or “too” judgments are out of the windows immediately.
You might be surprised by how many negative thoughts you think daily.
You might also discover that some of these thoughts are not even originally yours!
What a relief! When I first started this exercise, I noticed that there were
more negative thoughts than positive ones.
Most of the negative thoughts were not even valid.
Unfortunately, they had become part of my “thinking habits”.
Eventually,
I learned that the price I had paid for my habitual negative thoughts
were way too high as they robbed away my happiness and my ability
to create a good life.
Becoming conscious of the power of our thoughts is a necessity to improve
the quality of our lives. Starting today, pay good attention to your thought quality.
Use the power of your thoughts to create a good life because it is your birth right!
As each of us becomes more conscious and becomes the master of our mind,
we together can use our mind in creating more beauty,
joy and goodness in the world.
